Our school is happy and friendly and lots of people are really kind. It’s a VERY colourful place! We think that we have the best Headteacher in the world and that all of the teachers are the best teachers. The PTFA and Governors are very kind and caring and the governors make good decisions.
We learn a LOT – new facts and new ways to solve problems. There’s challenge for everyone and if you find it easy, there’ll be an even more challenging challenge for you! If any children find some of the work a bit tricky, there’s somebody to watch out for them and help. We do lots of fun things to help us to learn and there are amazing trips and visits (we even go to France!). We don’t just have school rules; we have rules that are followed. We can this The Donisthorpe Way, if anybody doesn’t follow it; people know what will happen next. In our school people respect others and we listen to each other. Everybody gets a say and people listen to each other. There are lots of fun things to do on the playground and we have a big playground and super-sized field to play in. We don’t have bullies here because the school makes sure that any problem stops, if they know about it. All of the School Ambassadors have opportunities to make the school better, like planting trees and coming up with ideas. Children can laugh together – in assembly we can have a joke. In Special Mentions Assembly, people share their good work and we see who are this week’s positive pigs (or piglet)! We have colours and team points too and when your team wins, it makes us feel like we’ve worked together and achieved something as a team. from the Donisthorpe Primary School Ambassadors |
