Modern Foreign Languages (French) at Donisthorpe

Our MFL curriculum is designed to progressively develop children’s skills in languages, through regular taught lessons. Children progressively acquire, use and apply a growing bank of vocabulary organised around topics. All of these approaches help to equip our children with the skills to be confident global citizens.

When children reach Year 5 and Year 6, they have the opportunity to take part in a residential trip to France to immerse themselves in the culture and history of the country and use their acquired skills in real life situations.

This children will go on to study French at secondary school so we aim to build a firm foundation for their furture learning.
