Donisthorpe Primary School is nestled in the heart of the National Forest, at the centre of our vibrant community. We are proud to provide a safe, happy and welcoming environment where children, families and visitors feel valued.


At the heart of our vision are happy and safe children who are nurtured to thrive, grow in confidence, and achieve their very best. We believe in setting high expectations for every child, inspiring them to reach their full potential both academically and personally.

The Nook is based at Donisthorpe Primary School. We run a breakfast club from 7.30am until the start of school, Monday to Friday, and an afterschool club from the end of school until 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, during term time. Click the link for more information!

​Forest School at Donisthorpe Primary School

Donisthorpe Primary School has developed its own Forest School programme, which is part of the curriculum for all year groups. We work in partnership with Little Acorns Forest Schools to provide forest learning both on site and off site.
