​Donisthorpe Primary School is situated in the heart of the National Forest; we pride ourselves on being at the centre of the community, providing a safe, happy, welcoming environment for children, parents and visitors.

The Donisthorpe team work hard to provide a curriculum of a ​very high standard. All staff are dedicated to providing the children with first-class care and high-quality learning activities and experiences.

The Nook is based at Donisthorpe Primary School. We run a breakfast club from 7.30am until the start of school, Monday to Friday, and an afterschool club from the end of school until 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, during term time. Click the link above for more information!

Donisthorpe Primary School is a happy, caring and supportive place for pupils to learn. Pupils are proud of their school and the history of their village. Pupils value the strong relationships they form with the staff. They say that they enjoy coming to school and appreciate how their teachers help them. Pupils told the inspector: ‘Everyone is just so nice here.’

​Forest School at Donisthorpe Primary School

Donisthorpe Primary School has developed its own Forest School programme, which is part of the curriculum for all year groups. We work in partnership with Little Acorns Forest Schools to provide forest learning both on site and off site.
