PE and Sport Premium

We've got Platinum!!

Schools receive funding to help make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport they offer.

We are able to use the premium to develop or add to the PE and sport activities that we would be unable to provide if we did not receive the premium. This also enables the school to make improvements now that will benefit pupils joining the school in future years.

As part of our grant we pay for children to access the Activ8 Scheme encouraging physical activity outside of school time, more information can be found here.

Please see below details of how we used our PE and sport premium.

After speaking to the Sports Ambassadors they decided that we needed to run a lunchtime club for children who can't make after-school clubs. Summer 1 club is for children in Years 3 and 4 who haven't been to a sports club so far this year! The children enjoyed a great game of rounders. Summer 2 club will be for a different set of children with the aim to get even more children in our school active!
Thank you to all of our Sports Ambassadors they have done a great job this year helping out at different events as well as giving some great ideas about how to improve our sport provision and take up at Donisthorpe. We really do have an excellent school; the children continue to make us very proud. Well done Team Donisthorpe!
